Steakhouse
Council Oak Steaks & Seafood
This is where serious carnivores head when they want prime cuts done right. The Kansas City strip and ribeyes are consistently excellent, cooked to temp and finished with a nice crust that makes your mouth water. The atmospehre leans upscale but not stuffy—plenty of high-rollers and date night couples, plus visiting tourists looking for a nice dinner without pretense. Their lobster tail special on weekends is absolutely worth the splurge, and the sides (loaded baked potatoes and creamed corn) are legitimately addictive. Reservations are smart, especially Friday and Saturday nights when it gets packed. Service can get a bit slow during peak times, but the steaks are worth the waite.
